APOD 3.5

I fell in love with this picture as soon as I saw it. It's titled "Rocket, Meteor, and Milky Way Over Thailand" and as you can see, it's an amazing and surreal portrait of how beautiful the night sky can be. To the left of the image, you can see Venus along with a band of zodiacal light. Stretching across the whole picture is the central band of the Milky Way, glowing and hovering over the horizon. The bright plume near the top of the frame is actually the rocket Ariane 5, caught by the photographer as it was taking off. The photographer did not even intentionally time this taking of this photo to catch the rocket launch, so he got incredibly lucky with the timing. Directly to the right of the rocket is a streak of light of a passing meteor. This is one of my favorite APODs by far.
